My Little Boy's Room - "American Heroes"

Here are pictures of the bedroom when we first moved into the house:

WALL PAPER EVERY WHERE!!!! It took forever to get it all down, then we had the walls repaired and re-textured.

When we first remodeled the bedroom we made it a guest bedroom for my parenst who visi us from Brazil very often.  I will post more details about this guest bedroom in another post, but I just want to say that everything in this room was re-used from our other home. The headboard cost $15 and the side tables cost $14 (yes, for both of them). So here is what the bedroom looked like as a guest bedroom I called "Blue Room" (all bedding came from Brazil):

And now to my little boy's bedroom! I L-O-V-E it! And more important, he loves it! The bedding was the first thing I bought. I got it from http://www.overstock.com/ at a steal, around $100! Then, from there I got all the colors for walls and furniture. All the furniture was either free, bought from thrifty stores, or garage sales. Here's what they cost: bedside table $15, book table 0.50 cents, heaboard $5, wall shelf FREE, small rocker $5, toy box FREE (it belonged to my husband when he was a little boy! So sweet!). The chair was also free, found it on a curb side trash, and the fabric I re-covered it with was 0.50 cents at a thrifty store. Anyways, the total cost for this room, including ALL the furniture, was less than $215.
